Cuba, 95 days struggling against COVID-19
Here, I show the behavior related to the spread COVID-19 of the first ninety-five days in Cuba. The graphs display the total confirmed cases vs. total active cases, total coronavirus deaths, serious-critical cases, a ratio between admitted and suspected cases, a relation between daily new cases, daily new recovery, and newly deceased. Also, it is provided an outcome of cases related to recovery vs. death where it is described the cumulative total deaths and recoveries over the cumulative number of closed cases.
In the last seven days, Cuba has reported one death, 65 new cases, and 68 recovered. Cuba has tested 131628 samples with a positive result of 1.7% since March 10th.
In the last ninety days, Cuba has reported 2 238 confirmed cases, 84 deceased, 1 923 discharged and 2 evacuated. The highest number of tests carried on in a day was 2 496 on June 12th, the highest number of confirmed cases per day was 74 reported on May 1st, whereas the highest number of deaths per day was 6 reported on April 23rd and the highest discharged number was 78 on May 4th.
Cuba rose in 95th place of the world confirmed cases which represents a rate of 198 confirmed cases per million inhabitants, higher than China. Only, 10.23% of the confirmed cases are active with the lethality of 3.75% and survival of 85.92%. Havana has recorded the highest confirmed cases rate per ten thousand inhabitants which is 55.69, and also it has accumulated the highest number of confirmed cases with 53.04% of the total confirmed cases in Cuba. In addition, Havana has recorded more than 50% of the total deceased in Cuba.
The highest number of active cases in a day was registered on April 24th with 847.
